Happy teachers day

While shopping for plates at Ikea,i saw a young Malay lady buying 20 or more throw blankets at rm10 each.i asked if she was reselling them for a profit, she smiled and said they were teachers day gifts for her sons teachers ,one in morning school and one in afternoon school.i was touched that parents appreciate our efforts to educate their kids well.we do not expect anything for doing our jobs but its heartwarming to get a card ot flowers from our students parents.just imagine your kid multipled by 50 crammed in a classroom with two fans and you need to get their attention, keep them focused and entertained amd quiet for 50 to 120 minutes, each from diffetent backgrounds, races, religions and personalities and still get them unified with a common goal.

I m happy when i see my ex students doing well in life and being healthy and successful parents and  i rhink the life lessons we instill at a young age like overcoming setbacks, being a good rather than a sore loser, persistence and cooperation helping them in adulthood.
In Japan teachers are leaving the profession due to stressful workload and low pay so its a sweet thing when the kids and their parents appreciate our effort to help bring up their kids.
