Jakucho Setochi "to live is to love"

Rip to Japanese buddhist nun Jakucho Setochi who has just passed away at 99 years old after living life to the fullest as a married woman a mother,a novelist ,a social activist and a nun. "to live is to love". She challenged the norm by writing steamy novels as a nun and continuing to eat meat n drink alcohol. She is also socially aware in protests against nuclear proliferation and the death penalty shows the depth of her commitment to compassionate love for humanity.she buckled the trend of a reclusive life by being a feminist in setting up a shelter for domestic violence victims .Her cup is full and runneth over with love im quite wary and uneasy with monastics who use the power of mass media to elevate themselves to high status of being a living buddha. This creation of a personality cult go against the humble teaching n lifestyle of our teacher Gautama Buddha who gave up wealth and fame to live a simple life.nowadays with personality cults,it has become too commercialised until magical talisman and amulets are sold for high profits.huge donations are amassed to build elaborate temples and statues to promote the personality and not the grassroot teachings of buddha.money should be better allocated to saving lives, curing the sick and for proverty relief but is used instead to sell magic charms that promises great ability to generate wealth or dodge bullets and accidents.buddha called supersitios practices the low arts.so remember that Life,It just IS........
