Safety record in paragliding

just viewed two accidents of search n rescue for two french paragliders who crashed in mount kinabalu.one crashed on the granite boulders n broke his leg and the incredible rescuers carried him on a stretcher to walk down steep slopes.the other was caught in a tree and was ok. paragliding safety is dependent on weather like wind condition.
