As night falls
when the last glow of the sun
its red and golden rays starts to fade
as night fall
i will be home waiting
for the footsteps shuffling to the door
the rattle of keys as you open the door
out in the gloom,the street lamp cast
a cozy warmth
in the midst of enveloping darkness
i will be there waiting
to see a smile lighting up
a work weary face,
to wipe the frowns
off the strife of life,
to ease the burden
of the toils of this world
As night falls
It lets you rest and forget
the rest of the world
