Urban oasis

thanks to trees n greenery that gives cool relief from heatwave as i go browsing bookshops in the mall.i viewed an angklung performance by a johor musician.its mesmerising. ive viewed a sarawak native busking in the mall playing enchanting sape instrument.the angklung reminded me of my primary school when i played in angklung orchestra. i temembered we staged the flower drum song in the hall.we had a marching brass band in secondary school.we learnt art like making paper mache masks and i joined the pottery club to learn to spin the manual pottery wheel and fire pots in the kiln.the teacher took us to kuala selangor to see how indian clay pots were made for ponggal.in university,we had classical chinese instruments like the yang qin,gu zheng and pipa.in.varsity the gamelan orchestra rhythm in bronze was led by a non malay.bring back art and music classes in school from batik painting, making wayang kulit, playing the angklung or sape, dance zapin and ronggeng. i believe in what a hong kong artist did to fuse oriental passion with western harmony. Then i went home for tea break with a
,a glass of
f rose syrup soya milk bandung and a slice of cherry pie.
