A dangerous place

Guess what entering a bookshop is a dangerous place because i walk out a few hundred ringgit poorer and my wallet is lighter.went to Book excess and spent a few hours browsing thro new titles when these 4 books caught my eyes and trapped my mind.my book shelves are so crammed.i like to read books to understand the world affairs better

Noah Harari is one such global thinker on issues of humanity.the other is Indian American Vijay Prashard on geopolitics and Dr Richard Wolff an American economist that denounces the ultra capitalism of neoliberals.Another strategic intellectual is Noam Chomsky .

The book by Paraq Khanna,an American Indian is pretty predictive of global issues like mass migration and global nomads and connectography which looks at the power of the internet to stimulate growth.i ve always liked the writing of historians like will amd ariel durant and cant wait to read their collection of essays.

So  reading maketh the man in the past but now its clothing, make up and selfies that attract the opposite sex.sigh we re in the age of visuals, not brainpower or manpower but pretty boys ,their ability to sing and dance and entertain.the metrosexual guy is the new idol.im outdated and cant keep up with the times.so be it.Semiotics is the sign of the times
