The art of diplomacy

India's top diplomat Dr S Jaishankar has mastered the wit and art of diplomacy.Hes quick in his rebuttal to tough questions asked by reporters.he doesnt bat an eyelid when he calmly reiterates Indias position of protecting its own interest based on its own values n needs without evasive strategy.

When he reminded EU to step out of the outdated mindset that Europe thinks that its problems are the worlds problems but the world's problems are not Europe's problems.

After watching the racist remarks by a top European foreign policymaker,it reveals that the colonialist mindset is firmly entrenched in the policy of EU.The senior figure compares Europe to a garden .We have built a garden and the rest of the world is a jungle.so its the task of the gardener to set foot into the jungle to take care of it before the jungle starts to invade the garden.Europe must be much more engaged with the rest of the world .The rest of the world will invade us by different ways or means.isnt it a resurgence of racism and xenophobia?

The white mens burden is how the imperialist view their role in civilizing the savages from other continents. They trample on the dignity and human rights by capturing and selling coloured people to be slave labour to produce their commodity. When they couldnt pay in silver the products they bought from China, they exported opium to get the people hooked onto drugs in return. However, by the end of British rule, India's economy represented a much smaller proportion of global GDP. In 1820, India's GDP was 16% of the world total. By 1870, it had fallen to 12%, and by 1947 had fallen to 4%.
