The importance of lateral thinking

Both conceptual engineering n lateral thinking pushes us to look beyond the boundaries of conventional wisdom to solve problems. The challenges of climate change, reduction of carbon footprint and an environmentally sustainable lifestyle go hand in hand with the need to maintain economic growth and  national development.

The green agenda in Germany is commendable to phase out use of fossil fuel, reduce nuclear power plants  n transition to new green energy sources. However it is reminded that Germans heavily export oriented industries need cheap energy to sustain heavy industrialization and manufacturing of chemicals of BASF or steel manufacturing for automobile industries.

So when gas prices skyrocket,it adds to inflationary pressure as prices of goods produced increase due to higher cost of production, thus jeopardizing the export reliant economy of Germany. With winter approaching, its a trade off for consumers between heat or eat.the green agenda is threatened as the need to reopen new nuclear power plants, increase use of coal or fossil fuel or worst case scenario resort to cutting down trees for firewood.so have the Eu nations missed the forest for the trees? By enforcing trade bans and sanctions, who have they punished ?the so called cold war enemy or their own people as Russians will survive this cold war as they have plentiful energy supply .

Ive always thought that use of electric vehicle would not be commercially feasible on a large scale as the fuelling infrastructure for fossil fuel is well established and widely accessible network in both urban n rural areas.look at how Chinese offer pragmatic solution to overcome it.it takes 2 to 3 hours to fully recharge a electric battery so what they did was set up shops that offer fully charged battery to EVs to replace battery that have depleted itself.no time wasted in charging the battery so the convenience is great for commercial drivers of vehicles.the local govts should set up regulations that all residential and commercial property should install charging stations by the kerb at designated spots.along highways, recharging stations can be set up near electrical transmission pylons.if the internet wireless transmission imfrastructure can be set up,such recharging stations would soon be commonplace n ubiquitous.

Another idea i read about is they set up solar umbrella stations that uses solar energy to generate electricity to power up the EV battery.its a good off the grid solution to exploit cheaper solar energy that is more sustainable but why not put in solar panel roofs on E V so that it self generates energy for itself.theroofs of buses ,trucks, taxis and suvs are wide enough for solar panels or a redesign of EVs are needed.

The future possibility of EVs depends on conceptual engineers or lateral thinkers so one day even airplanes are solar powered.dont underestimate that necessity is the mother of all inventions.
