Should robots dance?

Im totally opposed to the ideas of humanoid robots taking part in dances for a celebration as grand as Spring festival. They may mimic the movements but lack facial expression. As in Indian dances, the eyes and lips convey emotions and a robot is a machine unable to feel joy, sorrow or rapture. Its an insult to use them for entertaining us as it dehumanizes the meaning of dance.Art needs spontaneity and subjective interpretation. For centuries we use dance and music as a form of self expression of the joie de vivre of being alive.Does a robot have a sense of self and identity?Dont showcase technology for replacing dance movements, use it to save lives in disasters or help us in daily lives like exoskeletons but dont use it for artistic and creative avenues.Imagine an apsara that is non human, its a demeaning side of technology. today we had lou sang or toss the rainbow salad for our zumba group.we also practised the fan dances and umbrella dances.it was so much fun .so keep robots out of sports and dancing or playing music.its the domain of humans.
