The Lone warrior

Putin and a team of aides were sitting face to face with Xi Jin Ping alone at a negotiating table when due to miscommunication the Chinese delegates were absent Putin joked that Xi was a lone warrior.That is far from the reality.Shi Huang Di could not unite China and expand the borders of his fief to establish the Qin dynasty without the support of his vast armies from the footsoldiers to the generals .After the war,Shih huang di needed the huge administrative network of civil service to build a stable and prosperous nation.A man alone cant carry out the humongous task but the long term vision and ability to unite the people and mobilize them requires a leadership that sees long term and not in short cycles.China would not have such unity if shih huang di hadnt introduced a unified system of writing ,currency,weights n measurements or set civil service legalist iron fisted conduct codes that were stringent.With such a vast nation ;fragmentation leads to unrest and civil wars.Conquering the territories is one thing but to win over the hearts and minds of the ruled is the harder conquest.
