Cost of food skyrocket

Even pals from the M40 group are complaining cost of essential food items are rising so fast.those who are single parents are so frugal especialy when there are 3 or 4 growing up kids who eat non stop.the price of imported jasmine rice from thailand rose 3 x n basmati rice 4x.we buy eggs of 30 a carton and my pal says his household need 2 cartons a week as its cheap n fast.

Im glad EPF release payment on time so i can buy seafood for mooncake festival this friday.local fish like kembong is rm22 a kilo n kurau rm 75 a kilo and medium shrimps rm 60 a kilo.seafood costs a bomb now.even local big head freshwater shrimp is more than rm100 for a kilo.burn a big hole in wallet to buy crabs or shrimps.

I now buy non perishables from rm 2.40 the 2 Eco shop like soap, detergent, tissue or dishwashing liquid.can save a lot.a bag of potatoes cost rm2.40

I buy cooking oil in bags at rm2.50 per bag n a tray of class D eggs at rm 11.90.i bake my bread n cakes n never buy durians, bubba tea or ptemium coffee.

But just wish govt improve public healthcare as its long waiting list.just hope i stay safe and healthy.its cheaper to die than to live with all the modetn medical facilities that can cost a bomb but no guarantee you will live a long good quality life.
