The Thais,Cambodian n Indonesians are more artistic cultural wise.
When you go to Bali,the distinctive indonesian interior design is appealing,the carved teak furniture,the batik textiled bed spread n cushions the bamboo ornament,the open air outdoor rainshower.i love the luxuriant bali tropical gardens with hibiscus,heliconia n carved stone statues and lanterns of pottery.when i visit Cambodia and Laos the fine woven fabric is amazing and Thai silk meditation fabric cushion is special.
So why arent Malaysians artistic cultural design not seen in bed furnishing,batik crockery,table cloth ,coconut shell bowls n teapots or pandanus mat n baskets.set up a one stop shop to market malaysian designs.it reflects our heritage like peranakan babanyonya pottery,beaded slippers made into bed spreads or handbags or ikat rugs and ikat designs on umbrella n caps
