Who would want to have kids when they cant pay for affordable childcare?
Its either the mom stays at home and burden falls on the man to shoulder huge expenses .or in rural families,both parents go out to work to support the family and aging grandparents are the defacto parents.these left behind kids lack both paternal n maternal love so why have them and abandon them.
A solution is for state subsidised childcare centres near working places,factories,offices so parents can check if their kids are ok.
Some kids are brought up by foreign maids who take care of physical needs but cant provide emotional or mental support.The essential values are instilled by parents and not maids or teachers so the lack of role models in a kids life can affect healthy development.
Its horrifying when kids are abused by unscrupulous caretakers so in many cases,married couples prefer to be childless especially in cities when cost of living is high.
