A humanist and social activist

ive been viewing a youtube interview by a Dutch guy on Europe Matters in an interview with the brilliant linguist and intellectual Noam Chomsky on the pandemic, the Ukraine crisis and climate change.practically mind opening in his critical discourse of the role of EU and how it renege on its peace agreement with Gorbachev which cause Nato expansion eastwards and threatened security of Russia.Better undetstanding of current crisis n how Asean should remain a ZOPFAN.if we side either superpowers, our neutrality would be compromised.so small nations like Switzerland and Austria opted out of Nato and remained impartial to military blocs to avoid antagonizing any which may take the pretext of preemptive measures to invade and conquer them.Austria caused the spark which ignited the first world war and Switzerland has remained a committed to non partisan, neutrality in second world war. Noam Chomsky also discusses the hegemony of the US as the sole superpower in global affairs due to its financial and military dominance. At his age,hes still keeping abreast of current affairs and i get to learn a lot from his in depth knowledge. i m planning to buy two classics of Chinese culture, the Water Margin and The Art of War.i treasure my translated version of the Romance of the three kingdoms which influenced a lot of public ethics and moral values of the Chinese society.the dual volume had been in my library for 3 decades.Water Margins will cast light on the role of dissidents in civil society in China and their plight from corrupt public officials and instituionalised injustices and abuse of power.the Art of War looks at how it permeates the business practices of Chinese. excellence in war does not lie in winning every battle but in defeating the enemy without even fighting.wow that is a strategist.
