Susah cari makan,high income nation,just look south at small island state

its clear with diesel hike,price of transport rises and all fast moving consumer goods also rise as a result. What Makanan rahmah bullshit? even at Chinese food court i cant find a noodle or rice meal for less than rm 10. i went to Centrepoint foodcourt.Most meals even noodles cost rm11 to rm12.A iced tea without milk cost rm4 or rm 4.50.There is vast food choice from Vietnamese,Korean,Japanese,Taiwanese,Thai,Hakka Lei Cha,Vegetarian,Western food but more pricy than street food I need to learn to cook more international cuisines to enjoy the variety i need to be savvy consumer.i buy old tough broiler chicken to boil herbal soup and cook rendang and stew as the meat can stand long hours of cooking without melting into small pieces.to make roast chicken i buy spring chicken that is tender.i cant afford to buy organic free range chicken or ayam kampung as its costly even the price of a raw,uncooked duck can reach rm38 to rm 40 for a decent size. i think my quality of food is poorer compared to my fathers generation that can afford to buy garopa fish,kurau fish or freshwater shrimps to eat The cost of living was lower in my parents time when a working couple could support 6 to 7 children and two elderly grandparents and we could afford to eat durians by the basketful or eat kurau fish for fish porridge.i could still pay for my sons extracurricular art,music and thai language tuition classes or go overseas for annual vacation. i sympathize with families in urban cities nowadays trying to raise 4 children,paying house and car mortgage,childrens tuition fees,bas sekolah fees,childcare services,rising food bills ,sports equipment,cleaning services and entertainment expenses like watching movies.Our quality of life is poorer compared to our parents.thats regress i regret to say.
