Food safety

Ive taken time and effort to make home cooked meals for breakfast,lunch n dinner as its cheaper and more healthy.The cases of food poisoning dining out freaks me out.Food handlers should undergo public health training in cooking bulk food for mass consumption.Workers should be vaccinated for typhoid n cholera and cooks taught safe,hygienic food preparation.ive seen kitchen helpers washing food next to open drains or leave frozen food in the open road to defrost. Yesterday Jun n I dined out to eat Indonesian ayam penyet.Jun had real bad food poisoning n high fever n bad diarrhoea.lucky i kept diarrhoea pills,oral rehydration salt and paracetamol at home as it was 2am.i suspect it was the sambal belacan or raw cabbage n cucumber because we ate the same food but i didnt eat any sambal or raw vegetables as i prefer cooked vegetables.Sambal belacan attracts flies as its pungent and if we dont cover the food,insects like cockroaches n flies infect the food.Jun and I have never got food poisoning from eating food at home. i used to cook and pack his lunch in tiffin carrier to bring to office to eat while i bought a electrical tiffin carrier to bring home cooked lunch to eat in the office.the electrical tiffin carrier can even reheat soup.
Now i think twice before dining out and eating unhygienic food.the health ministry should monitor food security to prevent outbreaks of food poisoning. i only dine out once a week and food poisoning is a nightmare.i need to buy yakult n lassi for Jun to recover with pre n probiotics. i cook monk fruit soup with winter melon,snow fungus,red dates and sea coconut for tong sui.dinner is mixed celery,chayote squash,carrot and baby corn with fish ball n chicken sausage and a steamed cawan mushi in shitake mushroom for dinner breakfast i eat pumpkin bread,a fried egg,blueberry muffins,avocado,fresh blueberry n monkfruit dessert soup.im scared to dine out.
